“Pressure Seal” graphite seals are used in the presence of high pressure and temperature self-energizing seals for valves and closures. The force required to ensure that the seal is triggered is generated directly by the internal process pressure without the need for external actions.
The gaskets are supplied with shaped retaining rings made of metal material to prevent extrusion of graphite due to the high loads generated by pressure and the consequent loss of seal of the closure.
